Indianapolis Invisalign Full vs Lite Comparison
Invisalign braces are an alternative to metal braces which has become synonymous with ‘invisible’ orthodontics in recent years. Popularly worn by celebrities, this orthodontic revolution offers patients a perfect alternative to the classically fixed metal braces. It is a series of invisible and plastic aligners which can be removed and fitted exactly to the user’s teeth. There are actually a lot of types of Invisalign products now available in the market. Popular amongst the roster is the Invisalign Full and Invisalign Lite.
If you are not sure what to get between the two, here are some quick comparisons:
Functionality
Invisalign Full is the first and most popular among the Invisalign brace products. Most of the patients are treated using this because it can fix such a wide variety of orthodontic realignment issues. However, if the issue is less complicated, then the Invisalign Lite brace may work best for you.
Invisalign Lite is perfect for those who require slight orthodontic work such as crooked teeth, small gaps, positioning, alignment, and overcrowding. It may also be appropriate for those who have had preceding orthodontic work and found that their teeth have moved a little over time.
Length of Invisalign Treatment
For the timing, Invisalign Full takes around 12 to 18 months while Invisalign Lite is about 7 months.
Treatment Procedure
Both treatments have necessary teeth and jawbone structure examination. Taking dental impressions and X-rays, and virtual modeling of the mouth will also take place. These are done to create a treatment plan by adjusting the position of each tooth.
Afterward, each aligner is prepared in order to move specific teeth incrementally up until every one of the teeth is exactly where they need to be. These aligners straighten the teeth by applying pressure on specific teeth at different times.
The aligners are worn for twenty to twenty-two hours a day and can only be removed for meals or snacks, and when brushing and flossing. The aligners are smooth and comfortable to wear, and they will not irritate the soft tissues of your mouth or stain your teeth.
